What are we doing?
Design your own colorwork yoke following our versatile recipe. You’ll also learn about choosing a colour palette, yarn dominance in fair isle, and how to knit fair isle with two hands.
If you come with the body and sleeves of the sweater already complete, you can get knitting on your yoke design during the class, if not, no problem at all, we’ll get you started with charts and a swatch hat!
Supplies to Bring
● Graph paper and pencil
● Stranded colorwork stitch dictionary, such as Alice Starmore’s Book of Fair Isle Knitting, or Alterknit Stitch Dictionary, if desired (we will bring some from our library as well)
● DK weight yarn and suitable needles in a few colours for swatching or casting on a hat
